37 instructional design resources

Guide to Online Schools recently published a list of their top 37 instructional design resources, aimed primarily at teachers looking to improve their skills in this area.

Of course, this is not to say that those of us outside of the education system won't also find much of value in the list. For example, several of the blogs in their list are on my daily reading list. It has long been my wish to see the wall between workplace and academic learning come down, after all!

Interesting listen, Karyn. A bit heavy on academics. And why would something titled "best practices" not offer an opportunity to add material via comments?

@Jay I guess the academic emphasis was inevitable in the light of their target audience of teachers in formal ed. Besides, it doesn't hurt for us non-academic types to find out what the academics are saying on the topics of interest we share.

I agree with your question mark about the lack of opportunity for feedback and discourse, but opted not to let that hinder me from sharing the link.

If, for example, my own readers become readers of the blogs listed, and engage in the discourse there, this can only be a good thing, I reckon.

Thanks Karyn - ties in nicely to a recent conversation about finding good online guides for newbies.

Will spend some time perusing
